The House at 11/11 Gold Street

Doug asked me to oversee the plumber install water in his house in Minglanilla. I still consider myself new in Cebu despite the many trips I have in the past since Doug always escorted me around, and this time I'm alone that I needed his directions badly to know my way to his house. He said that I've to ride separate jeepneys to Punta and Tungkil. My landmarks would be a bakery and a pawnshop on each stop. I would ride again a motorcycle but first drop by the subdivision's office to ask for the plumber there.

I was an hour late when I reached his house at block 11, lot 11, Gold St. I read the newspaper I bought at a newsstand in Punta while I waited for the plumber to appear and install the pipes. It was not too long that the plumber announced that his job is finished. I tested the faucets at the toilet and at the back of the house. I noticed that the pit trap attached to the wash basin and the tank top in the toilet are leaking. The plumber told me to file my complaints at the guardhouse in the gates.

I closed the doors and the meter valve and proceeded to the guardhouse. My way back has a slight hitch because the jeepneys plying the route to Banawa didn't go that way at lunch time that I've to hire a taxi.

The experience is a worthwhile risk for me since I'm not used to wander alone either I'm chauffered or chaperoned.

I was born 485 years after Magellan re-discover the Philippines. This event is mentioned here to highlight my birthdate to be as significant as was in history. I also would like to think that it was a wednesday when they saw the 7,107 islands depending on the tides.
